This class is designed for anyone who wants to explore and improve their movement potential through music and dance. Last spring I did a training class with the director of the Dance for PD program from the Mark Morris Dance Company in New York, where the program originated in the US. Dance for PD Oregon hosted the event and has been working to develop classes for people with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions because we know scientifically that dance and music helps our brains, our bodies, and our moods. I’m excited to bring the program to Cedar Mill. Seated and standing options available for all abilities.

This is the more advanced version of the Dance For Fitness LTD class. Everyone is welcome. We definitely power through with dance after dance, but if you know your basics, you can catch on to the routines pretty quickly. I give cues and instruction throughout. And mostly we just have a lot of fun dancing together!
